Rainbows colours

Luckysnapping's post this week is for the Rainbow colours....
Red-
I got some new washi tapes this week and one is red :)
SAM_6589

Orange-
Richard picked up a huge butternut squash in the supermarket for me, there seems to be only me that likes it in this house, I love it with chicken or as a soup.
SAM_6590
Its also next to Richards cereal- another orange.

Yellow-
I know technically Harrys hair colour is blonde, but its my yellow today :)
SAM_6599
He is concentrating on a number puzzle here
SAM_6615
then he points at the missing number 7...we really need to have a search party to find it :)
SAM_6620
I couldnt leave you without sharing the two cheeky photos of him
SAM_6606 SAM_6594

I will be back in a few more days with the rest of the Rainbow colours.

nearly gone

I have finished my 2012 album
December pages....
SAM_6585

dont know why its an odd colour.
I am doing a project life type album this year but its taking a while to get into the hang of it.

We had rain last night, remember yesterdays post about Daniels snowman??
SAM_6576
well this morning it looked like this...
SAM_6584
I cannot believe how fast the snow went, its nice to see green grass again though :)
Kathi, it is nice to not be blogging everyday, I got into a good routine and always had something to blog with the 365 challenge...so feel I need to have something interesting to blog about rather then the mundane which I could do with the 365.

Right bathtime now...so better get on :)

update

So I go from blogging everyday to once a week :) just dont have anything interesting to say....
I have done the WC over at UKScrappers

Still need to do my December pages- but I am working my way through my mental list quite well.
I have started the first week of the OU course, so I am ahead as it only started officially today.
Finished knitting Evies cardigan- yes lynne- mum sewed it up for me :)

SAM_6574
I tried to get a close up of the eyelet edging but it doesnt show up very well
SAM_6578

We had more snow again over night- so I insisted that snowmen were built this time, lol...
SAM_6564 SAM_6576

This is Daniel's snowman with a mohican!
Evies snowman...
SAM_6572

....and finally I will answer Lynnes questions from Lucky Scrapping...
What makes you happy?
My family make me happy- most of the time :) I am happy with my own company and love to craft or knit which has become a joy since learning a few years ago.
Are you ever happy for no reason? Why?
I would say more like content, I often would like change, but can live as we are for now...we talk about updating things but we are ok. Simple things make me laugh- which Richard finds amusing- simple mind eh??lol
What are you busy doing this week?
As I am a bit behind- what happeed this week was doing a layout, doing a little knitting, getting cross with the weather. I went to schools achievement assembly and started my OU course.
What do you want, wish for? Are you good at demanding what you want like children do?
It could be a long list of what I would like, but I think the one thing I would like at the moment is a warm holiday abroad....I havent been abroad since getting married and the kids would love to go on an areoplant....demanding like a child- yes it has been known but I only demand what is achieveable and I wouldnt dream of kicking and screaming in the supermarket, lol.

Thanks Lynne :)

afraid its more snow...

We had more snow on Friday night...so on Saturday morning we didnt build a snowman no...Richard and Daniel prefer igloo's....
SAM_6532

This is the begining....and when its finished....
SAM_6544

Can you see the snowball Daniel just threw to his dad, lol.

I have done November 12 layout too.
SAM_6552
November brought us Bonfire night, Rememberance Sunday and a trip to the birds of prey centre. A tower of bricks being built by Harry and a love of books between Harry and Daniel. A trip to The Deep and Pizza Hut, a non uniform and take your bear to school day in support of Children In Need. A certificate for Evie from the summer reading challenge and a star of the week for Evie, for team work in science and waiting to take her turn.

more snow

we did get more snow as forecast from midday yesterday. We got a text from school saying we could pick up early if we wanted, so as soon as Richard finished work at 2.30 he went to pick them up.
SAM_6439 SAM_6448
You can see the difference from the two photos in only a few hours. Then Daniel and Evie were home
SAM_6461 SAM_6462 SAM_6472

We went out after tea with the sledge
SAM_6494 SAM_6501

Harry enjoyed the snow, he saw it falling and kept doing the noise he does for bubbles :) He walked up and down it for a while on the pavement, he couldnt go on the grass as it would have come up to his middle, lol and he hasnt got any wellies yet!

We have had about 10 cm, and a no school day today...Evie has already been painting this morning....it started to snow again about 9am but it wasnt much and no more since. Its very cold though.

yay for blogging!

I decided to have a go at the Weekly Challenge on UKscrappers, I chose the photo, the papers and got my quote...but couldnt remember what had happened in the photo. I found out the date of the photo July 2011, so had a look back in my blog- found the photo and what I had wrote to go with it :)

So blogging is great for bad memories!

The layout can be seen here UKScrappers

We had a light snow covering over night...we are due more this week...

  SAM_6432

I also did my October 2012 layout yesterday.

water and catch up...

We are not as bad as some parts of the country for flooding but as I showed you pictures of my mums back garden down the road to us we have a showground which has flooded. Richard walked to work on Monday so I asked him to take some pictures for me...its a bit difficult when you are driving past.
showground showground1
The brown hut you can see in the bottom picture is where the farmers market is held once a month- it was postponed this month....to the left of the field is the rugby club, they have an all weather pitch which Daniel goes to for football training. The car park is flooded as is the pitch for no football training.

We have a few dry days and then it rains again, so its not long enough for it to start to go down. At my mums the roads are getting full of potholes which you cant see because of the water across the roads. We are luckier then some I know...but thought I would share the pictures with you.

At the weekend we went to Build a bear, Evie spent some of her Christmas money
SAM_6419
She has called the bear 'Rainbow'...she loves it and so does Harry
SAM_6422

I have now finished September 2012 layout

SAM_6424
Back to school, Daniel and Evies birthday, football season starting, awards won, cuddles, hiding and falling asleep watching football...oh and enjoying books :)

I got some post today...
  SAM_6425

course materials...I thought this isnt much for a 60 point course, I got this amount when I did 30 points...I then read the letter with it, books 3 and 4 will be posted at a later date, arh now I see, lol

Lucky Scrapping 2013

The first weeks prompt is a view.

The view from Evie and Harry's bedroom window.

SAM_6410

...and looking left out of our bedroom....cant quite decide which would be best.
SAM_6411

This bush in the front garden will be interesting to see the changes through the seasons.

SAM_6413

The second prompt of the week is the view from our kitchen window

SAM_6409

as you can see its been a bit windy so the rubbish needs tidying, yes they are goal posts on the shed, lol.
I have managed to scrap August 2012
SAM_6416
...just Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec left now :)
