365- Day 121

Dessert

This was my dinner (lunch) dessert, lidl's yogurt, lovely...unfortunately no time for a yummy pudding at teatime, just fruit and cake.

365- Day 120

Lights

Another dark, dull rainy day. Poor Daniel played football this morning, when he got back at dinner time he was frozen and very wet. After a bath and some soup I noticed his lips were blue! He soon warmed up though. I have managed to do a layout and make some buns and brownies.

We dont have pretty lights, just boring and practical I took a picture of Evies nightlight with the night garden on it. She doesnt use it very often now.

365- Day 119

handmade

I have been wanting to have a go at sewing a skirt for a while now after seeing this

I thought it would be easier to do a small one for Evie before doing one for myself. I had lots of red material from when Daniel went to a fancy dress party as Noddy (he was about 4 at the time), the red material was for the spots on noddys neckscrarf so thats why I had lots as i only needed a bit for a few spots. Anyway we went to a local garden centre this morning and they had a craft shop so I got some elestic and red cotton. Here is the finished result a red skirt for Evie. Its just needs the ends sewing in. Took a lot longer then 20 mins because I havent had the sewing machine out for ages so needed a refresher with the instuction book! For a first attempt its not too bad.

I was waiting to see what Evie brought home from school as she usually makes something, but typically today she didnt! Last night she was playing with her hama beads and made this though

Powerful

Well as Wednesday is always a busy day I didnt get much chance to think or take photos. We had just come back from doing the weekly shop and the rain was pouring down and I noticed it beating on the window. I was going to take a photo of this but then I noticed the windmill we have in the garden spinning really fast. So thats my photo, the powerful weather we had today.

Tower

I have a little drawer tower that I used to keep my stickles and liquid pearls in, but it developed an overcrowding problem....this is the new tower, which now looks a little lonely and has lots of space for more objects. I need to have a sort out in my craft corner and have a little organisation- one day, lol.

365- Day 114

Cross

I was cross last night, I found Evie colouring on top of her bed! Luckily its only yellow and it might wash out.

Symbolic

First anniversary present from hubby. It symbolises paper for the 1st wedding anniversary gift.

Precious

I thought about time being very precious...especially at the moment as I am seeing Harry change and grow everyday- I think this time around that bit more precious as he is my last.
The photo for today has to be my family, the most precious things I have.

Flag

 I havent been out today so wondered how on earth I could get a photo of a flag, but then I remembered Evie making some at school. As she is in reception they get lots of time to play and Evie loves to make things so we get all sorts of things brought home. So my picture today is Evie with her two flags...you cant see but on the yellow one she has drawn lots of flowers.

Entrance

It has been a miserable day weather wise, so all the photos I could have taken I didnt want to because I got wet enough as it was. We had to do the tesco shopping and then picking up from school, so could have done both of those entrances. We also went to the mobile library van after school and the village hall for Evies Rainbows...again raining all the time....

Evie's dolls house...it doesnt get to be played with much now but there is a cousin that likes to play with it when they come for a visit.

I managed to figure out where I had gone wrong on my knitting, I had forgotten to do the heal turn, which reduced my stitches, so I took it out and did the heal and then had the right number of stitches, yay!

365- Day 108

Bold

A while ago I needed some storage for photos....this was the only box in Whsmith and my daughter who love pink decided it would be a good idea to buy it. Its certainly not what I would usually go for- its very bold for me....but I am getting to like pink a little more, I think its a case of having to with a pink girly girl like Evie.

We are back to normal in this house today, Daniel and Evie were back at school, Daniel has football training in a few mins and then Richard will be at pool tonight. I have some knitting to concentrate on tonight as I seem to have too many stitchs which is annoying.

365- Day 107

Tree

When the post awhile ago was tree or misty, we actually had mist so i took a photo of that, so I have no tree comparison pictures.
We have a funny/strange bush/tree in our front garden, we have no idea what it is but it looks lovely at this time of year.

alive

We have been quite busy today...well actually I have been quite busy :)
We had a lovely roast chicken dinner and Harry ate loads! I did a chocolate orange cake to go in the oven when the chicken came out. After dinner I transplanted some broccoli seedlings. Then I made a cheesecake for tea and made some russian tea biscuits- I cant remember where I found this recipe but they are a doughey mixture with walnuts.

I was going to take a photo of the seedings for alive but as someone else did that I thought I would take some pictures of Harry playing...he is certainly alive, growing and learning all the time.

 He is starting to play with concentration and interest in everything and anything.

Coiled

So I took a picture of a coiled tape measure...but then saw someone had raced me, lol.

So here is a coiled ball of wool, a coiled (in the round) knitting in progress sock and a finished sock. This pair is for Daniel, as he designed and colour choice...in a kind of coiled pattern.

Petal

 Our orchid is still doing well.

The tulips have taken a battering this week with lots of heavy rain and hailstones, I thought they would have drooped, but they are standing tall and looking really good.

365- Day 101

Clutter

Well todays word was more a case of which pile of clutter do I take a photo of....I would love to live with no clutter, not quite minimalist, but tidy and organised, it isnt going to happen though.

I was explaining to Evie about the word for today and said it was like junk and she replied 'oh like when i dance i jump' lol....she heard jump instead of junk! Anyway this is a picture of our fireside...I see some people have a few items on theirs....ours has anything and everything.

365- Day 100!!

Gentle

I cant quite believe we have been doing this for 100 days.
We have been teaching Harry to be gentle for sometime now...he likes to pull my hair as well as chase the cat, luckily the cat is long suffering...but I can see it getting worse when Harry is more mobile.

 This is Harry taking far too much enjoyment from pulling my hair.

 He is after the cat, which we try and keep hold of his hand all the time saying....gentle, sometimes he is too quick for us and makes a grab for her. I dont think it will be long before she learns to keep out of his way!

 Evie wanted to do a 'thank you' to the Easter bunny.

It says
Dear Easter Buny I really like the choclote eggs you hid for me Love Evie and Daniel.

She is going to give it to my mum tomorrow and aske that she puts it in her garden, bless!

365- Day 99

lots and lots

Well we have got lots of easter eggs, but decided on a different photo.  We went to a local Sunday market this morning and there were lots of cars...but I forgot to take a photo...so back to thinking what to take a photo of, I saw Daniel had lots of pots to dry up after tea.

 We went on an Easter Egg hunt at my mums this afternoon...

so lots of chocolate to eat now....I must resist, lol.

365- Day 98

Girly

We have had a quiet day at home today...this morning we moved Harry's cot into Evies room and then this afternoon we have had the snooker table out and Evie and I have been doing some bracelets. I have managed to do a layout and Richard and Daniel have gone up to the allotment.

 I have had this picture collage on my desk for ages...i have finally made it into a layout.

Pastel

We went to the park this morning, with my neice who stayed last night. We didnt stay very long though as it was very very cold.

I have been thinking all day for a photo for pastel...but all I could come up with is my scrap book albums and then I saw a pack of american crafts pastel cardstock.
