maybe not quite an impressive impossible but a few years ago I couldn't knit. My mum showed me the basics because Daniel wanted to knit a scarf....Daniel never finished the scarf but I carried on having a go. Youtube has been a godsend, I struggle to understand written directions but being able to see I can understand so much easier. So it started with Daniels scarf in March 2010, in the following months I did a little bag for Evie, some washcloths, another scarf, a tank top and then socks....I have just finished this for myself...
It was done in the round which is good because I dont like sewing, so it didnt have to be passed to my mum to sew...maybe thats the next achievement to start to sew them up myself, lol.
Its the half term holidays here, not that we are upto much, Harry went to the hospital on monday due to our eyesight being a family thing...Daniel played with a friend so it was just the four of us, Richard took the day off work- it was an early appointment at 8.40 and its an hr away so a lovely early start....Harry is slightly long sighted and has astigmatism- we all seem to have the later and the kids are all long sighted but richard and i are both short sighted- trust us to be different to the usual. Harry will get a sight check at a nearer hospital in 2 mths...the dr did ask how old he was (18 mths i said) to which he replied could he tell him the letters- errmmm NO he can hardly speak! So I was presented with pictures to 'train' him to recognise, do drs actually understand kids- could this be impossible???
Anyway we then went on to the deep which was great fun seeing all the fish, then we went to macdonalds. Evie got a sticker for being good and Harry loved having stickers.

Can you see how big his pupils are? - they used drops to dilate them.
Tuesday brought us shrove Tuesday or pancake day

Evie dressed for the occasion....she likes tomato and cheese with everything so thats what it has to be with pancakes. Daniel, lemon and sugar, golden syrup and orange juice or lemon, myself golden syrup and orange juice...Richard and Harry werent bothered by them....so what do you like on your pancakes.
We have snow falling at the moment but think it will be gone by the rain over night.
