more music
growing up my brother was an influence with music, I really like U2
going further back, I don't remember my mum playing much music but some of the songs from that era I really like...who remembers Manfred mann????
The who??
My dad liked status quo and even saw them live
right think I will leave it there...its certainly fun going through you tube and finding songs :)

music and fires
So sorry I have been absent this week, its been a busy week....details to follow.
So over on luckysnapping we have been asked about music....I am trying to rack my brains for my teenage music, I loved Bon jovi and still do...
Childhood, postman pat!

We have lived here 6 years in august and the fire was here when we moved in, we loved the look of it...but then that cat scratched the wood- hence the parcel tape!, then when we had a cold winter and no heating we burnt the plug out- it was an electric fire. So we made the decision to have a wood burning stove, we both love 'real' fires and we had a chimney so thought it would be 'easier' to have a woodburner installed.
We went from this to

this...so next is painting and new carpet...but I need to get over the trauma of the upheaval first, lol.

It was a time when I would cuddle up with mum on an afternoon to watch.
A bit nearer to now, cuddles with Harry....he loved Take That's patience....and with crying you need a lot of patience :)
We all like to have music playing and I could add so many more videos, but I wont bore you all....
On to my weeks madness...we decided it was time for a decent fire...

creating
Last term at school Evie did about Africa, she came home on Thursday with a giraffe she had made

It has had the odd accident and needed its head and tail gluing back on.
I have managed to do a couple of layouts, one for the weekly challenge on UKS and the other just for fun.
The weekly challenge layout needed to feature everyday life, so I chose a picture of Harry and his books, everyday we look at books.

The second layout I have done is again Harry, this time when we went to visit my dads sheep and lambs.

reflecting
This week on luckysnapping its annes week and the word to reflect with is vulnerable.
I find it difficult to talk about myself and reflect, so I thought it would be a good start to take a photo....the blue sky from last week are gone and this morning we had fog which took a while to lift...
I think if the weather could do a mood, this fog would be vulnerable....the sun makes us smile and I think if you were lost in fog you would be very vulnerable!
I don't think I tend to feel vulnerable, maybe down or out of sorts, and when that happens I just keep quiet, keep myself to myself...try not to see people and then come back to normal and get on with things.
The kids have been back to school this week, so we are getting back to routine....
