365- Day 335

asymmetry in nature

Plenty of frost today.

November

I realised later that the sky isnt really asymmetry in nature as the planes had made the pattern. So I then took a photo of our tree/bush which I have shown before. The only time it looks nice is when it has the blossom on it.
Evie came home with star of the week today- for good work in science and being patient.

365- Day 334

debris

Well this morning was a pile of ironing, then after dinner I went with children from school to their swimming lesson. After school Daniel had a school hockey tournament, so Evie and I took him to that...we then came home and Richard went to hockey. It was very cold, the car said 3 degrees. They won the tournament and Daniel even scored, so all good.

I found this in Harry's play pen this morning and googles definition of debris- The scattered remains of something broken or destroyed; rubble or wreckage.- fits

365- Day 333

I did think about taking a picture of the moon too, but Vivienne beat me to it :)

After a think I decided I needed chocolate, but saw a kiwi and thought I would be good.

365- Day 332

worn

Richard took the camera to work again and forgot to bring it back home...so its my phone again today.

I did this layout over the weekend and finished it yesterday- its very different to my usual style so I dont really like it at the moment....its different!
layout

Back to worn- we are having to wear hats because its got so cold.

Harry likes to play with Daniels old Thomas the Tank hat.
Also pictured is Harry and Evie having a play with my hat.

365- Day 331

lonely

What a wet miserable day again, its so awful the people that are effected by the floods.
I have done a little scrapping and knitting today- (not together, I am not that good, lol), while Harry had his sleeps and a bit of the DHW. Richard has just gone to do the school run, I think we will be in for a fun night, as they will not have got out to play at school today so I think that energy and tempers will be high.

Its quite difficult to take a photo of lonely...but when I saw the cat I thought she could be looking a little lonely.
SAM_5929

I wonder if hockey practice for Daniel will be on tonight.

365- Day 330

forgotten

Could have had sad again today- Daniels football match was cancelled due to water logged pitch, he wasnt happy.
I have done a little scrapping, not too pleased with the results though and did a birthday card for my sister in law. I think the ink blending is a little better
SAM_5924
Shame the black ink wasnt really crisp.

I thought quite a lot about the word forgotten- I try not to forget and have a calendar on my laptop with dates and times to remember but then I saw our fireside....
SAM_5926

I have forgotten what its like not to have little things that have to be moved to a height where little fingers cant reach, I have also forgotten what a tidy house looks like :)

365- Day 329

sad

No sadness today, the washing machine was fixed, thankfully....I had done all the options in my head and looked on the internet to see what price I would have to pay for another one and how quickly I could get it...but no need as by 5pm it was on the go again. It was the brushes on the motor and £75, but a lot cheaper then a new one.

I have finished my July layout.
SAM_5917

so now need to print out my August pictures.
Evie had her swimming lesson this morning, it was a different instructor to normal and he was brilliant-- so I told them so at reception, lol, if only she could change instructor but the early morning start is quite good for us.
We did some baking this afternoon, some bread (Richard did this), cookies, a bakewell tart- which I havent done before and some lemon tarts with the left over pastry. Also made some buns

SAM_5922

I suppose the only little sadness was the Hull City game that Daniel went to with his grandad. They lost to Burnley.....

365- Day 328

gloomy

I felt ok this morning after having a quiet night. Started the day as normal, arguments before kids went to school. Had a look on the computer, changed our bedding, folded clothes to be ironed. Put Harry to bed went to empty the washing machine- all the bedding is soaking wet through, put it on a spin, just the same. Emptied the machine put only PJ's in and did another spin- only the drum did not spin.....its looking gloomy. I have wet bedding and more washing lined up to go in the wash....the machine is over 5 yrs old but I have someone coming to look at it this afternoon hopefully. Fingers crossed.......

365- Day 326

Crowd

I have found this defination for crowd- A large number of things positioned or considered together. So its the lights on the way home from Evie's Rainbow night.

As I was at mums I finally remembered to look at the old photos, so I took a picture of me as a baby and then starting Brownies.

PicMonkey Collagecrowd

I decided to be good last night....I finished the sock and started the next one :)

365- Day 325

bridge

No bridge today. I got some more washi/decorative tape from ebay and it arrived this morning. The blue and silver glitter tape I got to use in my daily December album. The other ones are a blue and white lacey one and a butterfly tape.

I thought I would share my knitting progress with you too. I am doing a cardigan from ravelry called shalom. Its knitted from the top down so thats the neck and armholes you can see. I am also doing another pair of socks for myself. I only need to finish the toes and then start the other sock....but the cardigan has been distracting me.

PicMonkey Collage1

So Richard is at pool (as in the game similar to snooker) tonight, so do I get on and finish the socks or do some more of my cardi.

365- Day 324

free choice

Thought I would have a play with picmonkey today.

PicMonkey Collage

After tea I got some snaps of the kids. Daniel played with Harry and it was so cute seeing them look at a book together. Daniel then had a rest time before going off to Hockey practice.
You can see in the bottom right they both stroked the cat, just after the picture was taken, the cat decided to walk away. Harry had different ideas and pulled her tail....luckily she somehow managed to get away from him without injuring him As you can see he is still a cheeky little monkey.

365- Day 323

playful

Thank you for the comments about my cards. I pretty much did them as Kathijo said, I used the distress inks and the ranger blending tool....I think its just something to keep practising at.

We went to The Deep again this morning. We paid in April and then you get to go for a donation for the rest of the year. Harry enjoyed walking around this time and looking at all the fish.
deep4 deep1 deep

We then went to Pizza Hut for dinner.
deep2 deep3

We didnt take the big camera so they were all off my phone.
Thought I would share my June layout with you all too

365- Day 322

books

I like to read books, I havent ventured into the digital era of books, I like to feel pages and pop into the library. Evie is a good reader and also enjoys books, Daniel likes to choose books from the library but sometimes needs encouragment to read them. Looks like Harry is starting to enjoy books now too, he will pick one off the shelf and wander over to one of us and sits on our knees to look at a book.
He did just that today
SAM_5863
and of course the thing you have to do when you concentrate really hard, you just have to...
SAM_5880
...stick your tongue out!
I had a play the other day, trying to do some blending and this morning I stamped a Christmas tree on them
SAM_5859
Anyone have any tips on blending??

We only got swimming and shopping done today, it rained so couldnt do the allotment or tree digging. I made a start on my June layout, I really want to catch up with the months before I do my daily December album.

365- Day 321

fence

so no fence from me today.

SAM_5857

before school Daniel and Evie in non uniform and ready with their teddies. Daniel was not impressed at taking his teddy- he is 10 you know! lol but there were only 3 boys out of the whole school who didnt take a teddy, so dont think it went that bad.

I went to the school for the achievement assembly in the afternoon. Harry behaved which is always a bonus and Evie had a certificate. In the summer we went to the library for the summer reading challenge, well in the post came a certificate for her.
SAM_5858

Even Daniel said how well she had spoke when she went to the front to collect it. The head teacher asked what she had needed to do for the challenge and she answered so well.

Its now the weekend, early morning swimming lesson, allotment, digging up the conker tree from the garden and a tesco shop planned for Saturday and Sunday no football for Daniel so we are going to The Deep. Hope you all have good weekends planned.

365- Day 320

uplifting

So my first thought was an 'uplifting bra', lol....but I wont subject you to that!
I recorded DIY SOS last night and watched it this morning. 90 people went one day to help with the rebuild and the lady at the end who ran 'The Yard' project said how 'uplifting' it was. It certainly is good to see people helping others....

pudsey

The children have a non uniform day tomorrow at school, they are taking in their teddies and a donation for Children In Need.

365- Day 319

nostalgic

We all went to my mums for tea as Evie had Rainbows tonight. I meant to get the photo album out and take a photo of some childhood photos....only I forgot. So I have searched the internet and found two photos. This was our first home together for Richard and I, next to the chapel. This is courtesy of google maps. When we had the house (end terrace) it had a red door. Its two bedrooms, but  a lovely long kitchen. We moved when Daniel was nearly two.....
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=wesley%20terrace%20kilha
....to this, it was still two bedrooms, but detached and had scope to build on. This is actually the photo from when we had it for sale. It was a newbuild and had a garage too, unfortunatly we didnt have the funds to extend and Evie came along. We had to move out of the village as we couldnt find a cheap enough/big enough house for us. So we moved to the outskirts of the town to a three bedroomed semi and lowered our mortgage. I would still like to live in the village and the children go to school there, but its not possible at the moment.
pantile

The people that bought the house from us have actually extended it too, I havent looked round it though.
I will try and remember to take some childhood photos tomorrow when I call at mums again.

365- Day 318

thoughtful

I am ashamed to say it has taken me all day to think of a photo for this prompt and then early this evening it came to me. Lynne is a very thoughtful person, so much so she sent this book to me as she thought I would enjoy reading it :)

SAM_5846

Thank you Lynne x

365- Day 317

refreshing

Well I intended to take a photo of the actual refresher sweet, but they had all been eaten.  Then Richard too the camera to work and left it there...so my photo ended up been taken on my phone and its the tub of sweets :)
sweet

As you can guess they were left over from the Halloween callers, which Daniel and Evie didnt mind. The only ones I have had are the love hearts.

365- Day 316

memories

I am no good at memories. Anything over 10 years and I can not remember.
We had a nice afternoon and went to a local birds of prey centre from a groupon deal.
Its also an animal park too so got to see a few different animals
SAM_5739
SAM_5743

A few meerkats, they really look different next to the soil compared to when we saw some in Leeds next to sand.
SAM_5812

We got there just in time to see a display, it was great to see them flying around so close to us...Harry enjoyed it too. This was my favourite owl.
SAM_5768

This one was called Merlin, he was a bit big for my liking.
SAM_5829

SAM_5783

SAM_5831

So we had memories from this afternoon, for a longer term memory, we bought this picture on our first holiday to Kos- 11 years ago. Its the only time I have been abroad too.

365- Day 315

warm

The cat finds a warm safe place to sleep, in a corner next to the radiator.
SAM_5724

I noticed this today- maybe it should have been my photo for domestic, lol I think some dusting is on the agenda.

365- Day 314

ponder

Before Harry was born I started a degree with Open University. I have only done the level 1 courses, but it is time I got back to it and did the level 2 course, the next course starts in January...so I am pondering. I really need to do it but dont know how I would fit it in and Harry is still quite young, I havent registered yet. Watch this space, lol

SAM_5719

I have mentioned before about Harry biting, well he bite me last night. You cant see it very well in the photo but it broke the skin and has bruised. I couldnt believe how much it hurt.

365- Day 313

domestic

I have only just seen there was an update to this prompt but never mind I have gone for domestic. I have just finished a pile of ironing and I know I have done photos of piles of clothes before, so I thought I would do the ironing board cover and ironing board with iron.
SAM_5713

Quite pretty for a boring task like ironing isnt it??
SAM_5712

One of the things I ordered yesterday arrived this morning- its a huge box for a tiny thing inside, lol....but been very quick delivery.

Wednesday, November 07, 2012

365- Day 312

creature

A vibrating bug- Harry's toy that I think belonged to Daniel first, then Evie and now Harry's turn.

SAM_5708

Harry's favourite thing of the moment is the theme tune to raa raa the noisy lion, on cbeebies

The light at the corner of our crossroads keeps going off and Daniel has mentioned it quite a few times so I told him to find the number on the light and I would report it. I filled in a form online on Monday evening....we just managed to spot this after dinner. Lets hope its fixed and Daniel will have proof they came out to deal with it. Quite impressed with the quick service.

SAM_5711

I didnt go to toddlers this morning as I had a few things I wanted to get done at home. So I have done most of my Christmas shopping online (even though it's far too early for Christmas), finished off and arranged collection of two CJ's- not long to wait now Lynne, made some buns....hoovered upstairs and put washing to dry. Just going to ice the buns then it will soon be school pick up time and Rainbows for Evie.
