Sep WK 4 WC

SAM_5048

"A one to six recipe from me this week"

I decided on the following recipe:

one colour of cardstock
two photos
three circles- with the pins, I have used glossy accents with heart sequins
four patterned paper
five words in the title- swing for a little peace
six of the same embellishment- pins

Pictures taken August 2011, another page for Harry's album.

SAM_5033

It turned out we were already for todays prompt :)....then Harry decided he needed to be in the picture too.

SAM_5043

Its Richards Mums birthday on the 2nd October and his Grannies on the 3rd, so I have managed to do two cards and get them in the post.

365- Day 272

bridge

I thought I would struggle with this prompt but then I remembered where Richard works, nearby is a bridge. So I persuaded him to go out and take a picture with his phone.

bridge1

He also took a picture of the view from the bridge.

bridge2

I can not say either is picturesque but its a bridge.

365- Day 271

haphazard

SAM_5003

Harry has a way of being haphazard with his toys!

This is the cheeky little monkey hiding in a shelf! He really is mischievious and certainly keeps us on our toes :)

365- Day 270

muted

Jennie the cake was more lack of choice then inspirational. I had planned on doing a chocolate cake, but shopping at the weekend I forgot the cocoa powder, so hardly having any left that idea had to be scrapped. Then I ran out of margarine/butter so couldnt do butter icing, didnt want to just do chocolate, had no cream....panic set in, oh heck how am I going to decorate this cake, and then I thought of the mars bars. I used 4 and just melted them in a bowl over shimmering water. A little milk to help it be less solid and then covered the cake. Quick and easy and turned out good, worth a try and I am sure you all would enjoy :)

Right back to muted.
SAM_4998

Had to be the mute on the tv control, not that it gets used much....the volume is always been turned up or down, usually up by Richard and down by me :)

Also this new yarn has muted blues....
SAM_5001

A hat for Harry....well it will be when its finished.

HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY DANIEL

SAM_4992

I don't know where the last 10 years, a whole decade....double figures! have gone. ....but they have gone too fast.

Its a victoria sponge cake covered with mars bars, it was good too.

Football training was cancelled due to a water logged pitch and I got soaked on the school pick up.

365- Day 268

favourite colours

I told everyone the prompt and Richard suggested this photo. He knows my favourite colours are blues.
SAM_4976

We got this set of coasters while on holiday in Kos, over 10 years ago. Our one and only holiday abroad. At the moment Harry loves to play with them, they show my favourite colour pretty well.

Its a miserable rainy day today, looks like we were a day later then everyone else in England.
SAM_4981

While Harry has had his morning sleep, I made biscuits and chocolate Brownie for Daniel to take into school tomorrow and made a cake too. Looks like its time for Harry to cause mischief again though- he is awake.

365- Day 267

on your desk

Quite a productive desk this morning. It was Daniel's first football match of the season, so I decided to do an album.
SAM_4973

He he is before he left for the match
SAM_4974

He didnt have time to fasten his laces- he would do that in the car and he doesnt wear his glasses while playing, so he looks different.
These are the finished pages
SAM_4975

They lost both games. So not proper layouts but playing with paper which was good. Evie made a start on her thank you cards and its been a quiet relaxing Sunday.

365- Day 266

a random item

SAM_4971

Daniel will be 10 on Tuesday, he had his party today. He had 3 friends come over and they did lots of playing then had tea. We decided to have a cake on Tuesday, so he had a bun for todays celebration.

100 days left of this year, can you believe that, it only seems a short while that we have been doing this challenge.

365- Day 265

fruit

fruit

I thought I was going to have to take a photo like Anne's having a fruit bowl with only old looking apples left, but we then went shopping after picking the kids up from school, so I got this shot in lidl. I have had a play with it in flickr too.

Viv the cat is called Penny, but usually gets 'cat- stop doing that'  or 'no cat get back in' or the most used 'cat quick Harry is coming'. :)

365- Day 262

bug

SAM_4793

My bug of the day has been the phone, for the last few days we have had 01922 ring, most of the time no one is there but if someone does speak its to say they want to speak to the owner of the computer. I have politely asked them not to ring any more but they still do. We have done the preference service before but that has made no difference we still get annoying phone calls.

Summer photo scavenger hunt

On Friday, Evie went to a party, so Daniel and I went on a little trip for some more photos.
SAM_4661 SAM_4659
This is the description of the monolith which is better then what I could say about it, you can tell how big it is with Daniel standing next to it. So this is my historical landmark.
Whilst in the Church grounds I spotted this little angel.
SAM_4656

We then went to a local farm where my dad has been using the land recently for his sheep. I thought this was a good fence/border.
SAM_4671

and a barn with an outdoor stairway.
