Father Christmas

We went to see Father Christmas this afternoon at a nearby garden centre. Last year Evie cried at Father Christmas and wouldnt go near him....this year, we couldnt shut her up, lol....she went into great detail about her list of 'wants' and they both got a gift.
In the morning we went to the farmers market which was postponed from last week because of the snow, we got potatoes, sprouts for the father in law and some white cheese for evie. We then went to the craft fayer in a building next door and daniel got a keyring, we got soap for xmas gifts and i met a lovely lady who has her own sheep wool spun. She is hoping to start knit and natter in the new year and i cant wait.

Christmas Tree

 Evie has her pink tree which she got busy decorating.

 and here is the main tree all finished, we have a tree that is not co-ordinated or a colour scheme but a mismatch of decorations bought, given to the children as presents or decorations made at school/nursery by Daniel or Evie, but it works for us.

Still no school so igloo building was the activity

Dec 1st/ More Snow & WIP Weds

 We have woken to more snow this morning and school closed again, it is now snowing with big thick flakes, so looks like its here to stay a while longer.

 1st December means advent calender time, daniel had a simpsons one and evie peppa pig.

Snow and WIP Weds

This is what we woke to this morning....we still have our pumpkins out and they have snow on them :( I am not a fan of snow, even if it looks pretty.

As soon as daniel got home the three of them went out and made a snowman.

I am a bit late with WIP (work in progress) wednesday...but here is what i am upto at the moment, an aqua facecloth for my mum. Terrible photo though, sorry.

Children in Need

So what do you do on a Thursday night before Friday's Children in need day?? Well I decide to colour spots on white T shirts!
We didnt have any spotty clothes so while i was in town i thought it would be a good idea to pick up some coloured circle stickers....only i ran out of time. In need of a brainwave I decided to use Daniels PE plain white T shirt and an old one that i was saving for Evie. I started with a circle template and felt tips....and then thought promarkers would be soo much easier...I know some of you are now cringing, how could i use promarkers. They worked really well though and the bigger tip was great.

So here they are all ready for School and Playgroup tomorrow. Wonder what will happen when i was them though, hmmm....

Scarf/snood

I didnt use a pattern for this and was just doing a scarf joined together.....but it works as a snood too, so will keep ears warm with out a hat.

Or a very thick lovely warm scarf, lol

a busy weekend

with some very lovely ladies, here is what i was busy with, a few finishing bits need to be done, but will do them later. I only managed a DLO and 10 single layouts....sorry girls, will do better next time :)

So what do you think to my new hat, i would like to be able to say i knitted the jumper, but sorry it was bought!

Poor Evie

Evie has been a little poorly, but she is slowly getting back to normal. She went to school for the afternoon yesterday which must have worn her out, she fell asleep during tea. The top pic shows her sleeping with her eyes open! When i lifted her out of the chair she was wide awake bouncing off the walls.

Halloween

The pumpkins! Evies is a bat on the left and daniels scary face on the right, Daniel allowed some face paints....although it tickled and he felt all funny....so no decent pic, this was the best. Daniel and Richard went trick a treating with friends, evie wasnt very well though so we stayed home :(

Half Term

Its the first day of the half term holidays, on saturday we bought some felt and stuffing. This is what we made today, Evies is the pink star and daniel did the snowman...we cheated and stuck the eyes, buttons, nose and hat on and he did have the sewing before getting bored. Still plenty of felt left too.

Birthday Card

I had a run on birthdays last month, this was for the beginning of October, I like to keep cards very simple and this one is very simple. I seem to be adding butterflies to everything at the moment as well.

French Plait

I have wanted to know how to do these for a while now, so last weekend I decided to search youtube for a video, this was my first attempt which i was pretty pleased with. I have had a few more goes and they have got better. I have to spray Evies hair first which makes it a little easier.

Our Cat

Penny is just over a year old now, you know how you buy special beds and things....they all go ignored, Penny's choice of bed is a play pram of evie's. She can be found either in the pram or on the tray underneath.....she has recently found another favourite sleeping place, on my craft desk on top a of squishy stamping mat!!! I would rather her use the parm :)
