The picture was taken in March 2012, we went to see the lambs that my dad had on his small holding. Evie really didnt like the smell, lol.

I thought I would struggle with this prompt today as we havent been out anywhere, but I have looked back in my photos and saw this statue. In July we went to Tropical World in Leeds and this is where the photo is taken.


It has been the first day of the half term holidays and it went ok. I have even managed to get some scrapping done, finally I have finished my DLO for May and I have scrapped a photo of Daniels school hockey team.

We woke at 2am by a storm bashing on the bedroom window, hail, wind and rain....when I went downstairs in the morning, this is what we found.


It was Evies swimming lesson morning, so we were up early, but then 15 mins before we were due to leave the phone rang. The sports centre would be closed due to a plant room problem (?!). So up and no swimming to go to. It was quickly decided we would do the tesco shop in the hope it would be nice and quiet.
This was in the car...

2.5 degrees- very cold!

After dinner we went to see our 8 wk old niece....on the way I looked out for crooked things...we saw this bendy road

It is meant to be a little warmer tomorrow, so we will see, certainly hope for a better nights sleep :)

365- Day 300!!

I dropped the kids off at school this morning then went on to see a friend who has a boy similar age to Harry. We had a good morning with them both playing and us catching up on news.
We came home for dinner and while I was cleaning up I spotted this fading rainbow- which has a little orange in it.


The leaves on this tree are turning orange and falling off.



Soon back to school to see Evie dancing in assembly with the others from Dance group. Then its a week off for them for half term.

I am enjoying this challenge for the simple reason I have an excuse to take a photo which normally wouldn't get taken. Although Harry looks cute at the moment he is seriously into biting, biting everyone and anything. We go to a local toddler group and I am on edge the whole time, I dare not to step away from him or take my eyes off him, incase he bites another child. I am hoping it is a phase which he will soon turn tired of, but its not looking like it will end any time soon.

This photo shows how he is sticking his tongue out a lot and dribbling everywhere.

Parents evening went very well last night, which was a pleasure to hear. Daniel is doing fine but handwriting could be neater. Evie is being challenged and doing some work with the Year 2's (she is in Year 1)

A bit difficult to take a family portrait- we were only all together for tea, Daniel and Richard have gone to football training so its just a photo of the 3 left behind and using the timer is very diffcult :)

My sock knitting bag. I had been looking a while for a small bag to keep my sock knitting in and I found this in the childrens section of matalan. It does just what I need and is actually pink with silver and white stars on it.

Sometimes on a weekend Evie gets her nails painted. This weekend it was a bribe to encourage her to lift her feet up off the floor when trying to swim. She did quite well trying to swim on her back. So she chose blue nails and white hearts. It will be coming off tonight at bath time ready for school tomorrow.

I am quite pleased with how these came out. Harry won't sit still for anything, but we managed this one.



Evie would not smile..but I was really pleased with this one.



Daniel actually doesnt mind posing for a few seconds, we normally get a fake smile but not here.


We have had a good day today, Daniel has gone with Grandad to watch football so we did the Tesco shop. I have managed quite a bit of scrapping time and Evie really tried to lift her feet off the bottom of the pool when trying to swim on her back. Tomorrow Daniel is playing football and then we have an afternoon of baking planned.

I took these on the way to school while Richard drove. It wasn't raining but it was a dull day.






After we had picked them up, I took this photo.....I said to them a few mornings ago they looked like the 3 wise monkeys- see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. I wanted a photo to remind me of that moment. Evie is hear no evil, she is always saying 'what and pardon??' Daniel is see no evil, you ask him to get something for you and he can never find it 'where did you say, I can't find it' Lastly Harry has to be speak no evil, he is still only saying 'hiya' :) I must do a layout with this photo and journalling.

public transport

We don't have a great deal of choice with public transport around here. I went to help at school this afternoon though and the class have a swimming lesson, we all go on a coach to the local pool...so I took a photo with my phone of the coach.



Harry may not have looked ready for sleep last night, but after some milk it doesnt take long for him to nod off :)

I have made a few elastic bracelets and use this 'cement' on the elastic knot to stop it coming undone.
I posted a while ago about the hat I had started for Harry.

We went to do the shopping and visit my sister in law...on the way home coming through a village I took this photo.

I asked Daniel to make me a house from lego, but he decided the blocks would be quicker- he then ran out of time. Somehow I dont think he is going to have an archtectural future, lol


So I used Harry's other bricks (which I thought Daniel would have used) and made this house...I know the paw print is a bit off character, but I couldnt find another suitable brick. I like the flowers though :)

I have already shown you a photo of the amaryllis we have, but I felt it fitted well with the prompt. It's not flowered at all this year or last year.

Another garden photo, there is actually a rabbit hutch under it somewhere. Its ok, their is no rabbit in the hutch any more. I am surprised its doing so well, after our neighbour decided to hack at it when a little went over the fence.

The porridge in a morning look! oh and orange juice down your front and the porridge in your hair...dont you just love it, lol.

I took a few photos for this prompt but wasnt too happy with any of them, have settled for this one in the end. It was a cold start to the day but then it came quite warm and a lovely blue sky.

I used the song title, she loves you for the title of my layout. Journalling reads.
"I took part in a photo a day challenge, on day 273 the prompt was stripes.
Evie, Daniel & I all had stripy tops on. We took a group photo,
which Harry had to be part of when he saw the camera.....
this is the result, a lovely cuddle with Evie."
