365- Day 152

bargain

Had to think a while for this one, I had ordered some bargains online the other day so I hoped and stalked the postie....but nothing arrived in the post today :(

A long time ago, nearly 10 years ago we went to a car boot and saw a childs rocking chair, my father in law bought it for us, I think for £12....it is now on to its third child, so I think it fits 'bargain'

The picture was taken in Apil 2012, after our Easter egg hunt Evie decided to do a thank you card for the easter bunny.

 Harry is 10 months old today so above is the monthly photo...it was difficult to take though as he didnt want to keep still!

 He is also trying to pull himself up, his top left tooth has just peeped through today as well.

This is my photo for messy, it was just like the unfinished prompt...hmm which mess to photo. This is next to were I sit, so the table with the remotes, tissues and drink. Footstool piles with magazines and papers that need sorting, knitting bag, a box of 6x6 papers with a flower press on top....Evie has been into pressing flowers this last week, she and her friend picked some last Thursday, so I have taken them out so they can do a picture with them at school. Speaking of the friend that came last week, she hadnt been here long when she came back downstairs with Evie and announced 'my house is a lot tidier then yours', lol kids....dont you love them, my excuse- she is an only child :)


Anne, I am still unable to leave a comment on your blog, I dont know what I am doing wrong. Your shed photo looks great- the shed(s)- we have 2 at home are both full and very messy- we dont have a garage...but the shed at the allotment has just been put up so we still have time to fill it and make a mess, lol

tools

We went upto the allotment after tea, so picture of the tools in the shed...we still need to sort out the shed (maybe a winter job, lol.....see another unfinished job :) )

I could take loads of photos for this prompt, I think every room in the house has something unfinished and outside there is plenty of unfinished objects too....or things to do.
We needed some storage at one end of the kitchen, we had seen second hand dressers from anything over £150 to £450, so I had decided against that option and look for something like a sideboard. Then on facebook someone had a dresser for sale for £60, I thought I would be top late as it had been on for a few hours, but lucily I was the first to ask about it, we viewed it and got it. It actually isnt joined together so can be used as a sideboard. Ofcourse it isnt finished, its got shelves on top which were on the wall and then things that were on the shelf have been dumped on the dresser....so it needs finishing....I have ideas of it looking lovely but in this house I am guessing it will end up as another dumping area.

 Again in the kitchen, we put new laminate flooring down...its unfinished as no skirting board has gone on yet.

 While I was taking these pictures, Evie was painting a picture which she said fitted with the word as she hadnt finished it yet :)

 This morning the boys went to a car boot and market, so Evie and I made these.....

 ....and painted pasta, red, white and blue and added glitter. On Friday at school they are having a non uniform day and instead wearing red white and blue, we thought a necklace would be a good idea....its also unfinished, lol

 I had a play last night after I saw a you tube video...foil, glitter, flock and a stencil...it came out ok.

Another warm day, hope you are all enjoying the sun, only 1 week at school and then its a weeks holiday....hope the weather stays nice for the holiday, even richard is off work too.

365- Day 147

cleanliness

didnt think much about this one when I saw DH had washed up and they were drying waiting for Daniel to dry them properly and put away. We did have a dishwasher until just after Christmas and havent bothered replacing it yet.

 Yesterday, Harry, Evie and I went to get some prewalker shoes for Harry. He is wanting to be on his feet so with the nice weather I thought it was about time he had some shoes for outside walking. Its hardwork getting them on his feet though as he curls his toes up. This picture was taken just before we went to hang yet more washing outside. He is having a sleep now so I am on a catch up :)

boring

a boring job but a lovely day to do it

kids bedding and PJ's washed along with the flannels and bibs that seem to breed in the washing machine :)

One of the many balls we have to play with, this is a lovely tactile soft ball for Harry....and yes he is into balls already, lol. He walks holding hands kicking the ball- a footballer in the making.

I was thinking about this one a lot today and then started to look around and on the top of my shelf was this....artificial snow! We are having lovely weather at the moment....so sorry for mentioning the S word, if you are like me you will hate the stuff, but this is the best kind of S...now.

I told DH the word for today and he just laughed.

The cat manages to rest quite well, she does have her mad running around times, but they are getting less now she is no longer a kitten.

ornament

I didnt have to think long about this one. It is a small vase we got for our wedding, which at first I didnt think much to, but over the years I have fallen in love with it. At the moment it is hidden on a high shelf with lots of other 'delicate' things. It came onto the window sill for a photo. I love the blue colour of it and the swils remind me of petrol in water.

365- Day 141

minimalist

well our house certainly isnt this, lol.
We went to the allotment for a few hours this morning, when we got back the prompt was up and I thought 'oh dear'. We then had toasted cheese sandwich for dinner

 So my photo was a very minimalist cheese toastie, lol

Yesterday I actually managed to do a layout, a photo I had taken for 365.

Right I am taking Evie and Harry to a 1st birthday party, wish me luck :)

The 'interior' of my celery that I had for dinner.....not a great photo though, really need a macro lens, why do they have to be soooo expensive though.

Luckily I didnt have to go out in the rain to take a picture of a flower. Its not often we have flowers in the house, but my mum got a bunch for us last weekend. A few are starting to wilt, but this one is still going strong.

A group of our anniversary cards which will be taken down on Saturday, a week after our 11th wedding anniversary. We have a tradition to leave birthday etc cards up for a week.

Candid


After looking at google to find the defination of candid, I came up with this
A candid photograph is a photograph that is made either without the subject's knowledge or without their explicit permission, hence they are captured unposed. from wikipedia. I thought, that will do, lol
Now as Wednesdays can get a bit hectic I thought I better get on while I had the chance....only subject matter being Harry. As you know, Harry loves his photo being taken, so I thought it would prove tricky but luckily he was more engrossed in his toys then what I was up to.

 He is wanting to crawl, but only gets this far. Both Daniel and Evie never crawled, then went straight to walking, so this bit is a bit new to us. He rocks back and forwards and sort of lays flat and pushes forward but doesnt get very far and often ens up flopping onto the floor, sometimes this can be a bit dramatic and painful.

Oh, he spotted me, lol

Portrait of a stranger

This was the best I could do today, not a great photo as it was taken with my phone....but some strangers out walking there dog. We were on the way to take Daniel to football training and then do the tesco shopping.

I know I have posted a picture of me wearing glasses, but I hate wearing glasses. I only wear them on an evening, if I have to wear them during the day it is because I am ill. So my picture today is of my contact lens.

not a great prompt, lol....as with most people i dont like photos of myself. I have been having a play with the camera taking different shots until i was ok with it.

 At the moment the glass is empty but it will have some wine in it later :)

I actually prefered and found it easier to take a pic with someone else in it.

unforgettable

Tomorrow is our 11 year wedding anniversary. We are going out for the afternoon and have tea out while my mum looks after the kids. You would think we would have lots of things we would like to do...but no we cant think what to do...we are waiting to see what the weather is like.
On 12th May 2001 is was a very warm gorgeous sunny day....does look like it will be the same weather tomorrow.

365- Day 131

Sandy

 I couldnt think of anything for this prompt, we dont have anything with sand and so I thought about the colour, I looked at my inks and promarkers...but didnt have any sand colour, typical!
Then I saw Harrys hair shining and that to me a sandy colour.

 I then remembered an egg timer I have in the bathroom for timing Daniel brushing his teeth...it worked for a while and then he got an electric toothbrush with a timer already inbuilt.

We have quite a bit of wool in this house, with my knitting. As I have shown a few pics of my knitting I thought I would go with a photo from last month

They are actually my dads sheep, he has a hobby of a small holding....we saw them in the field opposite to the park we went to so took a few pics.

It had to be a photo of the cactus we have. I actually received this a long time ago, over 10 years. It was given to me as a leaving present when I left working in a childrens nursery, at the time and still now when I look at it I wonder 'why'. Why would you give someone a cactus??? Anyway I was pleased to leave as I guess they were by the leaving present, lol.

Daniel gave me his woven card that he had made at school a few years ago for me to take a photo of today.

We havent done much today, went to the local market in the morning and this afternoon caught up on Britains got talent recorded from last night.
