Busy day
This morning Evie and I made snowflakes, she had made a snowman at school and I had already put 'snow' on the window. So we cut out snowflakes and stuck it all on the window. This afternoon we made biscuits and then decorated them, the mixture made quite a lot so we have lots of stars, snowmen and Christmas trees. Some sparkle with glitter left over from the christening cupcakes, others have hundreds and thousands, chocolate buttons, mini smarties, sugar strands and silver balls. They all look really good and Evie did a great job. So that was today. Will have to see what we get up to tomorrow.

4 months old
He now weighs 13lbs 13oz doubling his birth weight, smiles at people, is trying to sit up and enjoys being tickled and having lots of kisses.
Wakes once or twice in the night for a feed but settles back down really well. He giggles and coos a lot. He likes to sit in his bouncy chair and plays in his activity centre banging and playing with the toys.

My rings
I have got my rings back today. I needed to make my engagement ring bigger it hasn't fitted me since I had Evie so while that was been done I thought I should get my wedding ring cleaned. They look great and just in time to wear both for Harry's christening

Time
Oh what it would be like to have spare time and even be bored.
Eldest son has to be playing computer games or he doesn't know what to do with himself, we give lots of suggestions but he still finds nothing to do, maybe when he is a parent and would love those childhood years back we will remind him of his wasted time. I would love to have more hours in my day to fill with all the things i love to do maybe when we retire and the kids have left home.

been awhile....
...but here is a gorgeous nappy cake from my dizzy friends, I cant believe how much was in it! A lovely teddy at the top, lots of nappies, a few vests, a brush, comb and bottle, some pins to keep it all together nicely and a gorgeous fleece blanket...just perfect. Thank you again everyone, a lovely surprise.....and now just to wait for the arrival....
So here i am at 36 weeks, a rare pic with daniel too :)
On Friday we made a trip to minor injuries, we dont know how far evie fell but a climbing frame was involved, so it could have been from the top or on the climb up, she has this lovely bruise on her arm to show for it. I thought minor injuries was shut over the weekend so with a fear of a cracked bone (with an over dramatic drama queen for evie) thought it might be best to get checked out. I was sure it was just a bruise but better to be safe....so evie loved the attention (being a drama queen) and got 3 stickers from the hospital (which now makes me think she will want to go back for any injury). She is fine although we can not get rid of the drama queen and every now and again it is totally impossible for her to do anything because of her arm...we had to laugh coming out of the hospital, the nurse asked for a high five....yes you can guess which arm/hand she used, lol. Bless Evie. xx

Haircut
and after
It will still fit in a pony tail but is a lot more managable, so much quicker to wash and dry tonight. Evie is very pleased with the shorter hair too.

blanket and another hat
Here is the blanket I made and my mum stitched together for me.
Another hat finished, although this could be a little on the small side. I used magic loop which is a different circular needle technique...so there is no seam, might have another go with a different colour and see if i can make it a little bigger.

baby hat
Here is my knitted baby hat, the colour is actually a bit brighter lime green then its showing here. It was knitted flat and then joined together so has a seam. I am now having a go with magic loop to do a free seam hat in plain stockinette stitch, so we will see how that turns out in a few days/week time.

long time no see
We have got a new camera so have been playing, some better pics then others.....and of course you need willing victims which can sometimes be in short supply.
It was a lovely sunny windy day, so we went and took the kites for a fly, it is the local kite festival this weekend, but we thought we would save some money and just fly the kites instead.
It was a good afternoon and came quite warm at times.

glasses
Both Richard and I need to wear glasses, so it came as no shock that Daniel and Evie would need to as well. Daniel has been wearing his for a few years now, but this is his latest pair. Evie has just started wearing her's, she has one stronger eye so the lenses are different prescriptions to try and make them more equal, we are back at the hospital optician in May to see how things have come on. The strange thing is though, both Richard and I are short sighted (we cant see into the distance) but both Daniel and Evie are the opposite being long sighted (only a 20% chance of that apparently).
