Snow

We finally got round to decorating the salt dough decorations we made!

This is the start of the snow yesterday morning...
by dinner time it looked like this......

and this was this afternoon, when daniel had managed to get home. Evie loved having him back especially so they could go out together to play in the snow. No snowmen though as it wouldnt stick together.

Daniel did manage to make a snow angel though, and took the photo himself.

The Nativity

Daniel played Joseph in this years nativity, he is in the last year of infants so quite nice that he got a chance to play the main role. He did it well and he was very proud- rightly so too.

Only one more day of school.

School Play

Daniel was a little bear in the school play, they did all the favourite childrens characters and were all really good. Here is Daniel, jumping from the stage, for some reason my camera was taking ages to take the picture after being pressed- very annoying.

Christmas Tree

Just realised i hadnt post a pic of our xmas tree.

and the little pink one, thats evie's!! Oh and Daniel hasnt dyed his hair, thats his friend in the picture.

Sarahs Cards Sketch

Over on Sarah cards blog there is a sketch competition. Here is the LO i did for the challenge. I turned the sketch on its side, used Bo Bunny Flutter by papers.

We were on our way to pick up our new kitten, and called at Grans first. Evie decided to jump down the step into the living room and fell over- on to a magazine rack and cut her head open. So we ended up going to hospital, then macdonalds for tea (where pic was taken), then on to get the kitten.

crafty

I knew my off cuts of 12 x 12 would come in useful one day. While i went to a local schools craft fayre, Richard and daniel decided to get started with the christmas decorations, so there followed some paper chains....daniel enjoyed making them so much i think our house is going to be covered with them!!

Here is a few of the christmas cards i have been making, very basic but i think most of them look ok.

This morning we went to church to take our shoe box that we have done for a disdvantaged country. So busy day really and still plenty more jobs to do, Evie is at plagroup tomorrow so might get ready for 1st Dec by tomorrow, lol.

quilling

I did quilling a few times as a child and wanted to have another go at it. I finally got all the bits together and last night had a go at a butterfly. It was quite fun and i know how to do things a bit different now to make it look better. So here is my first attempt.

Also managed to do a birthday card for my FIL last night...i seem to be going on a go slow at the moment, but slowly things are getting done....

Halloween

We dont do much for halloween, but richard likes to carve the pumpkins, the one on the left is evies- a smiley face, and daniels is on the right a face taken from the internet.

They look a bit more scary in the dark. This year will be the first year we have taken them trick or treating. So my slice got a bit of work on this bucket, to take to put any sweets given into. Its very quick and basic but i think it will just do the job.

Evies all ready

Evie is all ready for school now. After Christmas she will go to the school nursery for one afternoon a week....and she needs to wear the school uniform. I have been getting bits an peices for a few weeks now, but the finally thing we needed, we got today. A cardigan, its the smallest size you can get but still looks a bit big for her.

She seems so young, yet so grown up.

Daniel's birthday

Daniel had a good birthday, lots of presents to open. This is the cake i managed to get done, quite proud of it really.

He had a few friends over and played on the new snooker table and football outside.

So thats it, birthdays are all over for a year.

evies birthday party

we had evies friends, ruby and ellie come to play this afternoon, they played hullabeloo, pin the tail on peppa pig, musical statues,played with evies dolls house and it was a lovely afternoon so the trampoline and sand pit even got played with.

We then had tea, another game of hullabeloo and then time to go home. Didnt seem to go to bad, even with my dislike of partys. We have enough food left for pack ups tomorrow as well. I am at work tomorrow too.

So just daniels birthday and party on friday now.

evies birthday

ok , so blogger isnt playing ball tonight and wont let me alter the pic order. So anyway we painted daniels bedroom, here is evie helping me to paint over the thomas wallpaper, that daniel thinks he is too old for. Evie did better then expected and paint only went on the wall.



Here is where it goes a bit strange, evie with her birthday cake and the sunflowers we bought this afternoon, she asked for flowers and what a good choice she made. This is the dolls house we got her and she seems to like it.

Opening her presents which of course should be the first pic and below daniel helping evie to read her birthday cards.

We had a lovely day and the party to look forward to on sunday.

passion for promarkers week 15

bit slow adding the pics from monday, but here they are.

yes penny like the toy pushchair, and poor evies head...could have been a lot worse though and there is only a little bruise, not a great pic as i took it on my phone....and we were sat in macdonalds, lol.

kitten and hospital

so today we could pick up our new kitten, 8 weeks old today, but before we got there, we stopped off at grans. only evie decided to jump down a small step and land head first on a magazine rack, she had quite a deep cut on her head, so a trip to minor injuries was called for. She was fine and got glue and steri strips on her cut, she did really well and sat very still. So we then went to macdonalds for tea then to get our kitten. We have named her penny, she has had a wonder round the house, eaten some biscuits and is currently sat on the sofa between me and richard fast asleep. Will put pics on tomorrow.

catch up- wednesday

On Wednesday we went to sewerby park, we took the land train from sewerby into bridlington and then had dinner, then went back on the land train to sewerby. I took a pic of another land train passing us on the way back and a pic of the pirate ship out at sea. It does a tour of the bay.

On tuesday we went to the beach, i dont really do the beach, but it was ok.

Evie enjoying her ice cream, and yes the sand did get everywhere.

catch up- monday

been a bit slow blogging. this week richard has been on holiday so we have been doing day trips on monday we went to the railway museum at york, seeing the turntable work, looking under a train and sitting in a japenese bullet train, daniel and evie had a great day and enjoyed seeing all the trains.
