June DLO

Not a very good picture, but i have had a busy afternoon of scrapping, so here is my DLO for June.
We went on our first family holiday to Skegness, England played in the World Cup, so Daniel was able to go to school in his England kit. The cat had her op and played a game of snooker, lol. I finished Evie's tank top and we had our strawberrys growing.
So that was June, might be back later with July.

Sports Day and Stig

It was third time lucky for the sports day this year, it was cancelled because of rain but finally it went ahead. Here they both are doing the egg and spoon race. The nursery got there own special area to have a go at all the different events and it went really well.

Yesterday we were at the local show, Daniel was very pleased to get a photo of himself with stig (lookalike).

peas and tiny knitting

Our first peas were ready last week, it is the first time we have grown peas and i dont think we did too bad, we had a small crop and only did two meals but it was fun. Daniel and Evie enjoyed watching them grow and then podding them, we will have to grow some more next year.

.....and this is my tiny knitting, i have photographed a 2p so you can see how tiny. I am using 9in circulars to try and make socks, i tried using 4 DPN's but really didnt like them, so thought i would give this ago...so far so good, but havent a clue what to do when i get to needing to do the heel.
I was going to do some scrapping, but Daniel and his friend are on the xbox, next to my desk so not enough room....thought i would blog instead.

finished this next bit of knitting, its a lovely easy pattern to do and is meant to be a face cloth, will see whats its like to use, i have used a cotton blend yarn so should work ok....evie has taken a liking to it as its pink....not much left of this yarn now, i did evies hair band with it too, not bad for £1.40.

Hairband

I wanted a quicker knitting project so half way through doing a vest top for Daniel i did a hairband for evie. Evie chose the wool colour from a shop in skegness while on holiday and i just finished it this morning.

promise these are the last of the butlins pics i will share. Evie did hook a duck and won some princess bits, so took a pic in our room with her trying the bits on. Daniel and richard went to watch the terrible england game, after the 4th goal we left lol
