i can not believe 6 weeks of the summer hols have passed us by. It is back to the school routine for daniel as of tomorrow. One thing will be different, he will need to get used to a school life with glasses, i am sure there will be many trips to the opticians after a playground accident!! Mothers and toddlers also starts back tomorrow, so evie will enjoy playing with her friends again.
We dont seem to have done much during the holidays but they seem to have passed far too quickly (which i didnt think i would be saying at the start of them) so we must have done something.
He is all ready with his PE kit packed and his school bag, shoes polished and clothes ready and waiting, he had a headache tonight which i am hoping was due to the thunder storm and not the 'going back to school feeling', we will see tomorrow wont we.
We had a noisy thunder storm, lightening and heavy rain tonight. I went upstairs to see if daniel was still awake, he was petrified, with fingers in his ears, crying....why he didnt come downstairs i dont know, evie did not seem bothered at all by it.
I managed to finish the book i was reading, so can take them all back to the mobile library after school, evie so loves her books at the moment, i hope that lasts, daniel likes a story read on a night, but doesnt seem to want to be able to read them himself, i suppose that comes in time, he is a good reader at the moment as well....well as well as you can be at 5.
Oh i also got another cj in the post today, with lots of lovely alphabets (thanks joanne) so i wont have the worry over doing titles for a while.

Hope that the first day back at school goes well for Daniel! Imsure he'll have a great day.
Evie will love seeing all her friends at mum and toddlers too, I was worried that the hols were going to be too long but they have flown by this year, roll on half term!
